2012 Halloween Season

It's that time of year again... HALLOWEEN SEASON! Let the hauntings beging!
I've already been to Spirit Halloween to check out this season's latest props.

My all time favorite for this year is Deady Bear.
Perhaps you've wondered if the toys really do play at night while you are sleeping. Let there be no doubt - they play, but not nicely.  Stay away from Deady Bear - the motion sensor will set him to stabbing as his head turns from side to side. Even the big bears are scared of Deady Bear.
  • The Deady Bear animated decoration is a tattered stuffed light brown bear intent upon stabbing itself again and again. The motion activated bear stabs itself as it's head moves from side to side.

Another favorite is the animated Zombie Girl Swing.
Something went very wrong at recess - this Zombie Girl on a swing may look innocent but she is possessed and no longer of this world. Hang her indoors and watch what happens when the sound activated prop comes to life - she is scary and then some.
  • The Zombie Girl Swing animated prop is a seated girl with sound sensor and light-up eyes.

George found a prop he couldn't resist playing with, Cute Zombie Baby Puppet.
Who's side of the family spawned this?! The Cute Zombie baby is one ugly critter. Deliver your own kind of frightful fun when you craft your costume around this lifelike Cute Zombie Baby Puppet. Imagine the lullabies you can sing and the wails this creature will produce when folks lean in close to get a gander.
  • The Cute Zombie Baby Puppet costume is a lifelike PVC baby head and arms wrapped in a polyester baby blanket.

George also tried on a few masks to "get into character".

Silver Mask
Zombie Mask

Angry Birds Mask

Black Devil

Creepy Baby Face

My Favorite Prop

I think I have found my favorite Halloween prop for this 2011 year. It is my Grave Raver Mummy.

He is just the cutest little mummy ever... and Michael Jackson's Thriller to boot! I'm thinking of getting the Ghost too. I don't usually give in to these "dancers" but I could resist this one. I was dancing all through the store. It's just one of those things that puts a smile on your face every time you play it.

Best Halloween Decoration Ever

Best Halloween Decoration Ever Celebrity Buzz: The Rod Ryan Morning Show on 94.5 The Buzz, Houston.

You have got to watch this video. I know the "Christmas" people started this one a few years ago and it was pretty awesome back then. But to Halloween it out and add Thriller as the theme song is genius!

Halloween Props for 2011

I recently went to a couple of Halloween stores and found some props I liked.

The first is Giggles Clown Zombie Baby. The zombie baby prop Giggles is a lifelike weighted latex and foam creature dressed in a clown costume. It is a motion activated little monster that makes creepy, demonic giggling sounds as his head spins around and his eyes glow red with malice.

The second prop I really liked was the Bloody Mary Magic Mirror. The Bloody Mary Magic Mirror is a plastic and glass mirror that is sound and motion activated. The image of Bloody Mary accompanied by flashing lights and loud screams occurs when activated.

The third prop is a must for any amatuer Halloween haunted house. It is an Animated Jumping Spider. The Jumping Spider animated decoration is a large and realistic looking furry black spider with light-up eyes. The spider moves and emits spooky sounds as it jumps about the room.

The fourth prop on my list is a classic Halloween character, Freddy Krueger. There's no escaping this Life-size Freddy Krueger prop equipped with a trademark green and red striped sweater, brown fedora, and metal-claw Freddy Krueger glove. Animated Life-size Freddy Krueger moves with push button, sound, or motion activation and recites the familiar phrases you know and love in character voice.

Dunn Heat Exhange Ghost

A co-worker of mine, Toni, came to me this morning with an unbelievable picture. She said her son, Phil, had taken the picture between 5:00 - 5:30 am this morning. His intent was to take a picture of his co-worker who was asleep in the chair. He thought his friend looked funny all curled up so he used his cell phone's camera and took this picture.
Can you see the image? It looks like a little girl to me, with long hair. You can see the outline of her shirt or gown but you can see the pile of foil on the table right behind the image.

I know there are apps out there that can add ghostly images to any photo. I, myself, have an app like that. What do you think? Fact or faked?

UPDATE 10:39am

Toni asked her son if it was fake or not because everyone in the office wanted to know. Unfortunately, he was told it was a fake. It is from the GhostCam app... which IS the one I have. Unfortunately, I left my phone at home and couldn't show my co-workers how it works.

Although technology has its perks, this is the downside of it all. Too many fake photos and not enough factual ones.
